Cornelius, NC – [November 2, 2024] – On September 28, CYO Orchestra students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of sectionals, masterclasses, and coaching under the guidance of UNCC’s talented music department faculty. The morning concluded with a dress rehearsal with Dr. Alan Yamamoto who spearheaded this momentous event.
Student musicians’ hard work and dedication culminated in an unprecedented side-by-side concert featuring both the Cornelius Youth Orchestra and UNC Charlotte Orchestra on Monday, October 1.
Cornelius Youth Orchestra thanks Dr. Alan Yamamoto and UNCC for organizing both events which allowed CYO students the opportunity to play with and learn from their collegiate peers.
