Cornelius, NC – [November 3, 2024] – The Cornelius Youth Orchestras proudly kicked off their 2024-2025 season with a powerful and inspiring fall concert, showcasing the talent and dedication of young musicians from all over the Lake Norman Area. The event was held on Saturday, October 26 in the Joe V. Knox Auditorium inside the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Mooresville and featured captivating performances by the CYO Brass Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, and Orchestra, bringing selected works by renowned composers Antonín Dvořák, Georges Bizet, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and others to life.
Under the guidance of artistic faculty, Eric Boruff, Tom Burge, and Sam Sparrow, each ensemble showcased classical brilliance and dynamic expression through thoughtfully selected pieces. Audiences were treated to a musical journey that underscored the discipline and artistry of these young performers, leaving them eagerly anticipating what the season has in store.
Cornelius Youth Orchestras’ next major event will be a festive Christmas concert, featuring all performing ensembles on December 14, promising seasonal favorites and a chance to celebrate the holidays with the community.
